Our beloved Tracy Christensen was an absolutely amazing woman. A fierce warrior, an unparalleled nurse, a loving mother, a caring sister, a wonderful friend, and a truly treasured human being. Her family would like to share a space to honor her life and legacy. If you have a story or a message you would like to share, please add it as a tribute for her here. Thank you so much for sharing your stories, smiles, memories, and most especially your love!

  • Tracy was such a light at Grove. She was a friend and a "work mom" to so many of us, even when she was going through so much. She helped us with health issues, yes, but it was her caring and love that really helped the most. She went above and beyond in everything she did and is greatly missed. Her strength and kindness will always be remembered.

  • Tracy and her family were our neighbors when she lived in Texas. First time I met her she was so friendly. Her kids and mine were close in ages and would play together. That day I met her she stopped to introduce herself and told me Joey had flushed down a $100 bill and that Barry had hired a plumber hoping to retrieve it. After that Joey and my son Ernie were inseparable. She was the first one to see the potential my daughters had for them to become nurses (and they both did). She encouraged them and they saw her as a role model since she was their school nurse. We loved her, respected her for being so down to earth and a humble human being. Fly high Tracy! God bless your soul.
    Condolences to the family. ????????

  • Tracy was a one of a kind, absolute rockstar of a human being! Walking into the nurse's office at Grove to see her with a smile on her face and a story to tell was the highlight of many work days. I particularly love the day she sent me home from work on the day of the parade after the CUBS won the World Series. We had received notice from the district that sick days needed a doctors note for that day, personal business days needed to be approved two weeks in advance, etc. Basically, don't take off work to go to the parade. I went down to see her at lunch and was running a fever. She walked me into the principal's office and told him "I'm sending her home. She has a fever of 103." And that was that! I went home. No room for questions or refusal! You didn't mess with Tracy and health care. That's just who she was and we loved her so very much!

  • Tracy fought a long, incredibly brave battle with cancer, yet she never let it dim her spirit. Even on the toughest days at work, she always had a smile on her face and brought so much warmth and light to everyone around her. Her strength was truly inspiring. Rest in peace. Your beautiful smile will never be forgotten. I will miss you!

  • Tracy taught me to be health and goal oriented, but most importantly, she inspired me to be the best version of myself. Tracy performed every role of her life to the best of her ability. She was a great mother, school nurse, cook/baker, instructor, decorator, etc. I will always remember and be grateful to Tracy, who was like a second mother to me growing up. Love you always, rest in peace ????????

  • Doctor we miss you alot. I remember when Rachel brought me over to the house and you had the entire table with countless meals and sides ready for all of us plus your kids. You were so smart, so bright, so kind and humble above all. I’ve always admired you and part of me wanted to reach your successes and strengths. You did it all, plus more with a cherry on top. Rest well doctor, you’ve always been loved and always will be!

  • Tracy’s kindness touched countless lives. As the nurse at Grove Junior High, she cared deeply for every student who walked through her door. I was a very shy student from 2010 to 2013, so I was amazed when I returned to work at Grove years later and she remembered me. That simple moment spoke volumes about the kind of person she was—someone who made people feel seen, valued, and cared for.
I will always be grateful to have known her, first as my school nurse and later as a coworker. Tracy’s compassion and the difference she made in so many lives will never be forgotten.

Nurse Tracy ! My friend of 5 years . I thank you for being there at my weakest moment . Single father raising two daughters and you were part of them Bella having diabetes . I remember first meeting you in the office at grove and I was weak but you said stay strong you will get through this for your daughter having your own experience raising a diabetic child . You told me call anytime no matter what even if it was 1030 pm you were there for me and Bella . Gia going to college and asking you Tracy she wants to go to a 4 year and giving the advice to encourage to do the Harper promise than transfer to 4 year to come out with less student debt ! No matter what you were there to give me the advice I needed to make great choices in decisions from your own experiences . To just recently in March calling me and telling me u want to open your home to me to purchase and I didn’t know if I want to take on the work but than said I can rent than decide . I said yes and you were so excited and it gave me something to do since my kids are at the age of hanging with there friends . I was excited to having something to do and rush over after work and weekends to show you the outcome . I ask why you pick me out of so many people that you knew ! You look up to the sky and was told by your mother . I wondered if my dad in heaven talk to your mother and than she spoke to you to contact me . I told you I am happy again and I truely am ! Lots people you know don’t even know I exist and who I am but you knew and said your my friend and it meant so much to me that I wanted to make you happy and I will continue to make you happy by talking to you in the sky in heaven saying to you how you like what I did now Tracy . Thank you Tracy thank you thank thank you . I am hurt as many ! I know your in a better place with no pain with your mom and dad who you received a heart that compares to know heart I could ever imagine . You Tracy are one of a kind and a nurse was your true calling
