Dr. Raghu,
Two years ago, on the very first day of my doctoral journey, you looked at all of us in the Penntastic 7 cohort during orientation and said, “You’re my purpose.”
Those three words have stayed with me ever since.
It was an unspeakably powerful moment. I hope to carry that forward, so that someday, someone might feel the same way because of something I said or did.
As you step into this new chapter, I believe you will continue to find your own ikigai, just as you always have.
Thank you for everything you have given, not just to me, but to every student fortunate enough to learn from you. Congratulations on this new chapter, Dr. Raghu, and thank you, as always.Dr. Raghu, Two years ago, on the very first day of my doctoral journey, you looked at all of us in the Penntastic 7 cohort during orientation and said, “You’re my purpose.” Those three words have stayed with me ever since. Dear Raghu,
I struggle to find the words to articulate what an incredible colleague, teacher, mentor, and most importantly friend, that you have been these past years. I am inspired by your thoughtfulness, your creativity, and your tireless devotion to your students. I aspire to interact with the world with the same humility and humor that I see from you every day.
And while I appreciate your retirement goal of "doing nothing", I suspect the there is more in what you will bring to this world. For now, wishing you rest and time with your beautiful family.
All my best,
Jess
p.s. I still remember this day (during my first week as a student!) when they took this picture as we worked on a business case study for the performing arts....and now this picture is the one we use on the web page banner. Raghu,
Wild horses have spirit. They need room to run, but benefit from someone who knows when to tug the reins.
Your grace, guidance, and responsiveness gave me room to stretch boundaries, try new ideas, and grow. You never tried to tame the spirit. You just helped give it direction, which has made all of the difference.
I’m grateful for your wisdom, trust, and mentorship, and I'll certainly pay them forward.
Best wishes and keep in touch,

Raghu -- it has been a pleasure and privilege to journey alongside you. I still remember starting off as fellow students and eagerly helping you find participants for your research, then later having you serve as a committee member and receiving your thoughtful and supportive feedback as I experienced major life events while studying them.
I deeply appreciate the care, wisdom, and generosity you have brought to each chapter of this journey. It has been such an inspiration to see you grow into the scholar-practitioner you are today, and I cannot wait to read and hear about the nuggets of wisdom you will continue to accumulate as you move into this next chapter of life.Raghu -- it has been a pleasure and privilege to journey alongside you. This picture was taken on the first day of the program.
Looking at it now makes me smile because I remember how anxious I was. I remember telling you that I worried I was too old to take on a doctoral degree. Without missing a beat, you said, "Now is the best time to do it because you can enjoy it."
Throughout the program, there were a number of moments like that. Whenever I was questioning whether I could do it, you always seemed to have the right perspective at exactly the right time.
Well... I did it.
As you head into retirement, I wanted to thank you. Not just for leading the program, but for seeing something in me that I didn't always see in myself.
Your encouragement mattered more than you probably know, and it played a meaningful role in one of the accomplishments I am most proud of. Earning this degree changed me, and I'm grateful for the role you played in that journey.
Wishing you a wonderful retirement. You've made a difference in a lot of lives, and I'm certainly one of them.
With gratitude,

Thank you for making such an important impact on the PennCLO program. Your words mattered, your ideas made us think, and your presence lifted everyone around you. You have a rare gift, not simply as an authentic leader or as a writer, but as someone who inspires others with your insight, clarity, and genuineness.
Your advice on my book chapter was incredibly helpful, and your openness made an enduring difference in how we see ourselves and what's possible. I know I am not the only one who feels this way. Your support and influence have touched many learners in meaningful and lasting ways.
I will always respect your brilliance, but I am equally grateful for your generosity and the steady way you showed up for others. Along the way, I gained something just as important: a friendship I sincerely value.
You leave behind more than your contributions. You leave an imprint that will continue to guide how we lead, think, and grow into better versions of ourselves.Thank you for making such an important impact on the PennCLO program. Dearest Raghu,
It is a true honor to partner with such an exceptional leader. I am deeply grateful for your generosity, wisdom, and the way you always make time allowing those around you to be seen, heard, and supported. Your unwavering commitment to service, leadership, and excellence has touched countless lives, including mine.
The mission you have championed and the legacy you continue to build inspire us all. Thank you for the profound impact you have made and for creating opportunities for alumni to stay connected, contribute, and give back to a program that means so much to us.
Your leadership extends far beyond achievements. It is reflected in the lives you have shaped, the communities you have strengthened, and the values you have instilled in others. For that, we are forever grateful.
I wish you continued good health, abundant joy, and many more years of purpose and fulfillment. May God continue to bless you and your family, surround you with love, and reward you for all that you do. Dear Raghu, Thank you for everything you've given to the PennCLO program and to all of us who have been lucky enough to learn from you! Your "Writing for Academic Readers" workshop has quietly shaped every paper I've written since, and I still hear your guidance every time I sit down to write. Your survey design sessions gave me tools that I'll continue to use. You challenged me to think bigger, supported me along the way, and I continue learning from you through your microhabit posts. As a fellow GE alum, I've always admired the way you bridged the worlds of business and learning with such generosity and wisdom. I'm sharing this photo from one of our class moments because it captures how you made learning feel: collaborative, practical, and full of warmth. I hope your next chapter brings you as much joy as you've brought to this community!! Wishing you all the best, always! With gratitude, Cassandra
Dr. Krishnamoorthy, Congratulations on your retirement. Although I am just beginning my Penn CLO experience, I already feel grateful to be entering a program shaped by your vision, leadership, and care. The strength of the Penn CLO community is a reflection of the legacy you have built. Thank you for the way you have elevated learning, leadership, and organizational transformation, and for creating a space where leaders can grow with purpose, courage, and deeper responsibility. I hope you feel deeply celebrated in this season. May your retirement bring joy, rest, and the knowledge that your impact will continue through the many students, colleagues, and leaders whose lives you have touched. With warm gratitude and respect, Terri L. Williams
Dear my friend and fellow cohort, I am happy and proud of what you have accomplished. Congrats on your next chapter! I am rooting for you and cheering for you. Please come by Singapore one of these days, ya? :) Until we meet again.
