There are too many inside jokes, nicknames and memories to share, and most of which are inappropriate to share here. But these are some of my favorite moments with you! Always friends no matter what was happening in our lives. You hit the jackpot when you found Katie, and I could not have been more happy for you when it was still in its infancy stage. And it became one of the most beautiful relationships I’ve had the privilege to witness. From when we used to have breakfast at your house after work, to going to the Texas Roadhouse. You saved my life in more ways than you probably ever realized. And it has been an absolute honor knowing you and having you in my life. You are loved, you are missed, and you will never EVER be forgotten. I will miss the daily selfies, and inappropriate jokes, and you letting me know when you made it home safely. I’ll always find you in the sunsets! ❤️

I first meet Ryan and Katie when they moved into the house across the street from my Mom in Verona Beach. What a pleasant addition to the neighborhood. Many times Ryan would come over after work and visit with "Ms Helen" She thoroughly enjoyed those times. For me it was always a comfort knowing he and Katie were only a phone call away. Ryan, I hope you and Mom meet up and have a cold one on a bench in heaven ❤️

Ryan spent so much time at our house growing up spending time with our son. Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire family.

We met Ryan and Katie on our honeymoon whilst cruising to the Caribbean, they were clearly made for each other. Ryan was funny, kind, devoted to Katie and spoke proudly of his boys. They brought so much joy to our holiday. We will remember him so fondly. Sending Katie and family so much love xxx

Ryan fulfilled my young boys’ dreams of riding in a fire truck. He brought so much joy to my beautiful niece. Thank you for giving so much of yourself to your family, friends and community.

Good Ol Shenanigans

An old Irish saying about friendships. There are good ships and there are wood ships, ships that sail the sea, but the best ships are friendships, may they always be. My brother, thank you for the wonderful memories and all the shenanigans we’ve created during those times. A bond like no other can ever be. I love you brother, I will see you later.

This one is a hard pill to swallow - I met Ryan when he was working for the Sylvan Beach DPW. Every time I stopped by there for my monthly visit, he always had some off the hook comment(s), the kind that make you belly laugh so loud. He had a larger than life personality, was insanely intelligent and a complete jokester. I will never forget waking up one morning to a voicemail from him, telling me how much our herbicides sucked ???????????? (for context - he was the one licensed for pesticide/herbicide application at the DPW, and we were trying to find a herbicide that was safe for application, near the water, but that would also be effective.) We failed at finding that through the company I worked for, but we both had a good laugh the next day when I asked him if he felt better for getting it off his chest. Needless to say, he had zero recollection of leaving the message ????????‍♀️ turns out he was camping at the Glen for the NASCAR race - I think that’s all the explanation I need to give ???? Rest easy and God speed, my friend! Look over Katie and your boys - and all your brothers & sisters in uniform.
