Let’s celebrate Maria!
Maria Soto joined MoreDirect in March 1997 and has been a pillar of our Order Processing team for nearly 30 years. She has helped keep orders flowing through system issues, acquisitions, hurricanes, and all sorts of unexpected challenges. Her dedication, hard work, and care for her team have made a lasting difference at Connection.
As Maria prepares to retire in October, please share a memory, a thank-you, or a wish for her next chapter. Let’s fill this wall with the appreciation she deserves!

Picture it - Boca Raton, FL - May 4th - 8th 2015 -
A sea of New Hires making their way thru the office. A very busy Maria Soto (who had been dealing with my ignorance the week prior over email) turns her head around to smile up at me (and a bunch of other folks in my group), hands still on keyboard, still typing away without a skipping a beat (or showing any signs of broken concentration), greeting us all warmly, "Welcome! We're glad you're here!" Then she turned her head back around and she started plugging away on new emails at ludicrous speed! :)
This image of Maria Soto has been burned on my brain ever since. It was a truly remarkable sight and I'm still trying to figure out "How she did she do that?!?"
Maria is very much missed. I cannot express my gratitude for every minute of everyday Maria took time to help me understand how to be better. Not only for clients, but our team members.
She is a rare light in the world! I hope she enjoys her new adventure!

Maria, I wish you all the best in the next phase of your life. Remain healthy and happy! We miss you today and will continue to miss you in the future. You were the Master of OP. No one will compare in the future. You had it ALL under control and were always a huge help to me and my team. I will say that early in my tenure you scared me a bit....so many rules etc. The last thing I wanted was to be on the wrong side of Maria:) Seriously though, you created a fantastic and efficient department. It has been a pleasure working with you all these years, and I have many fond memories of spending time with you at the company events/parties.
Thank you for everything that you have done for me, as well as our team, over all these years. Your work ethic and dedication are second to none. No one will EVER replace you (or come close to the lightning fast pace in which you processed orders-- it was amazing!)

I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for being so wonderful to work with. Your positive attitude, support, and friendship have made a difference, and I've truly appreciated the opportunity to work alongside you.
While I am excited for you as you begin this well-deserved retirement, it's hard to imagine the workplace without you. You will be missed more than you know.
